The Tipsy Crow occupies downtown’s most historic building, dating back to 1874, exuding all the stimulation and excitement of a multi-level, vibrant venue. In exploring the three levels, the Main Bar, the upstairs Nest and the Underground, you’ll find array of old-school games, entertainment, dancing and spots to unwind.

This Gaslamp bar sets a classy and sophisticated backdrop for the young and beautiful to mix & mingle. Set amidst antiques, art and leather couches perched on gleaming hardwoods, this spot sports quite the scene. Dress smartly on the weekends if you hope to be seen cavorting with other heavy spending A-listers at one of Tipsy Crow’s three expansive bars.

Main Bar has pool tables, lower level a dance floor and the upstairs a VIP lounge so people can hang out wherever they choose. The bar mixes classic decor, craft beers, quality cocktails and delicious bites with years of experience and upscale service.

Location: The Tipsy Crow is located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter; at 770 Fifth Ave in San Diego.
This place has everything! Nightclub in the basement, casual games and bar 1st floor, and bougie lounge & billiards on the 2nd. With 3 levels to offer, when you need a total break from dancing, you can head to the lounge level or the bar.
The Crowd: Very diverse. All ethnicities & ages 21-70s.
• The upstairs is a relaxed environment if you just want to get a few drinks and sit down to talk.
• The bottom floor has a dance floor with music ranging from Top 40, Hip Hop, and a bit of Edm.
Food Recommendation: The Caprese and The Angry Goat — perfectly toasted, with melted cheese and fresh vegetables served with homemade tomato bisque to dip.
Good For Happy Hour: YES! Tuesdays: $5 Lobster Roll. Plus, Tipsy Tuesdays (7pm-close) in The Underground: $4 Heineken, $15 Heineken Buckets, $5 Dos Equis Draft, $6 Patron and Beer Pong with Prizes & more.
• Happy Hour EVERY DAY during Boston Red Sox Games: $6 Sam Adams and Pretzels.
Admission: On Friday & Saturdays, there’s a $5-$10 cover charge.
Drink Prices: Expect to pay $11-$14 for Cocktails / Mixed Drinks. Bottles start at $250 & up from there.
Smoking: No section inside of the venue. People who want to smoke can get a stamp at the front door and smoke and return through the return entry line.

• Dress Code is enforced nightly starting at 9PM and best described as casual yet fashionable.
The following items are not permitted: Hats (baseball caps & beanies), bandanas or head-rags, pocket knives, all sports jerseys, sleeveless shirts for men (includes tank tops), workout/gym attire (includes sweats, nylon shorts, board shorts), pajamas, shower sandals, sunglasses or tinted prescription eye wear, chain wallets as well as no baggy, oversized and or excessively torn clothing.

Perhaps the most mysterious level, the Nest originated as a home to firecrackers with explosive ending in 1887. Rumor has it the building then became a risqué gentleman’s club.
